Professor Jennifer Stevenson led the students to study cases

In the morning, Professor Jennifer Stevenson taught the Chinese lawyers the thinking of handling criminal cases in the United States. After graduating from the University of Washington Court JD, Professor Jennifer Stevenson practiced in Perkins Coie LLP, an international law firm providing full range of legal services in Seattle, Washington for nine years. She also served as a volunteer lawyer for many international public welfare projects. Professor Jennifer Stevenson has rich practice experience and theoretical knowledge. The day before the class, Professor Jennifer Stevenson sent the case materials, judgment cases and relevant codes to the Chinese lawyers for preview. Based on the concept of lifelong learning, the Chinese lawyers will certainly prepare well and have group discussions in advance. Professor Jennifer Stevenson gave a lecture in the form of case discussion and combined with case practice. Her lecture was very vivid, easy to understand, and very clear and systematic to the Chinese lawyers about the processing thinking of American criminal cases. In the class, all the lawyers and Professor Jennifer Stevenson had a heated discussion, and the collision of professionals' ideas sparked. Finally, Professor Jennifer Stevenson told the Chinese lawyers: The most important is thinking like a judge. This is the legal thinking that legal people need to have.

The students raised many questions about the legal process in the United States. Professor Hu not only answered everyone's questions, but also explained the problems in detail from the perspective of Sino-US comparison. Professor Hu also discussed with the Chinese lawyers about the important events in the United States combined with the law, and the atmosphere was very warm.
